The studio Warner Bros. has rejected the $ 70 million comic adaptation because the test screenings were badly received by viewers. The “Batgirl” is played by Leslie Grace, Michael Keaton would have been seen again as Batman, also starring JK Simmons and Brendan Fraser. It’s rare for a studio not to release a film that’s already been shot. At 130 million dollars, the Chinese production “Empires of the Deep” was one of the most expensive films in history that was never shown.
The Warner Bros. studio, however, did not comment further on the “Batgirl” plans. A second comic book adaptation is also pending: “Flash” is scheduled to start in the summer of 2023, but the police are investigating main actor Ezra Miller for kidnapping and trespassing.
