the album title, “Jude”refers to the legendary song “Hey Jude” of the Beatleswritten by Paul MCCARTNEY to “comfort” Julian, who was 5 years old at the time, following the separation of his parents, Lennon and Cynthia Powell.
Originally written as “Hey Jules,” McCartney changed “Jules” to “Jude” because he thought it sounded better on the song.
“A lot of these songs have been several years in the making, so it almost feels like a coming-of-age album,” Lennon commented on his new album. “With great respect for the overwhelming meaning of the song written for me, the title Jude conveys the very real journey of my life that these songs represent.”
