The Mayor of Tübingen, Boris Palmer, broke his elbow while cycling while on vacation in the Alps. “On the way from Ischgl to the Silvretta it went like clockwork. I stop at the pass, but forget the clipless pedals,” wrote the nationally known local politician on his Facebook page on Thursday. “I fall over while standing and catch myself so stupidly that my elbow breaks.”
In addition, Palmer posted a picture of himself in front of the professional accident clinic in Tübingen and an X-ray of a broken elbow. After his fall, Palmer added that he drove 50 kilometers to the train station in Bludenz, Austria. The operation will follow on Friday.
