US actor Tony Dow (76, “You have to be an adult”) has been hospitalized with pneumonia. The wife of 76-year-old former child star Lauren Shulkind said her husband tested negative for COVID-19 “five times” after being rushed to the emergency room Thursday night.
However, Tony Dow was indirectly affected by the pandemic. Because of a shortage of hospital beds caused by a wave of outbreaks from the Delta variant, Shulkind stated that Dow had waited “24 hours” in the emergency room.

“On behalf of Tony and I, thank everyone for their concern,” said Lauren Shulkind, before giving his optimistic forecast. Dow is currently “on the mend” and “doctors believe he could be released within a week,” it said.
