The actress Heide Keller, known from the ZDF series “Das Traumschiff”, is dead. Keller died last Friday at the age of 81, the ZDF announced on Monday in Mainz. She had played the role of head hostess Beatrice in the “Traumschiff” for 38 years.
“Heide Keller has made television history,” explained the deputy ZDF program director Heike Hempel. No actress has embodied a comparable serial role for as long as the Düsseldorf-born woman.
Keller had starred in the series since the first episode of “Dream Ship” in 1981. In 2018 she appeared in the 80th episode of the long-running for the last time. After her acting training, Keller first played theater before moving to television.
