For many years, Peter Tauber was successful in politics for the CDU in Berlin. In a conversation with stern after his retreat to his homeland in Hesse, he now talks about the price he paid for it. Tauber said in the interview that it is “very important that you learn to take care of yourself. After further health problems, Tauber had given up his parliamentary mandate this year as well as his post as Parliamentary State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense, which he had held since 2018. He told the star: “I experienced the camaraderie in the Bundeswehr that I have always wanted in my party. Unfortunately, you have to say that critically. ”
Tauber was not very confident that the way we deal with one another in politics would fundamentally change. “In politics, a lot of people spend a lot of time explaining why something doesn’t work. I find these questioners bad”. The options that individuals have are limited. “Everyone thinks they can improve or even change the system. Me too, ”said the 46-year-old. “And it may be a bit true, because we are also involved in our tasks as personalities. But the possibilities are finite. The system is strong. You don’t change anything on your own. ”
In future, Tauber will head the areas of communication and social responsibility at the workwear specialist Engelbert Strauss.
