The Portuguese soccer star Rúben Semedo (27) was arrested over the weekend according to media reports in Greece and is currently in custody. The allegation is: He is said to have raped a 17-year-old girl. the young woman is said to have reported him to the Greek police, whereupon they took Semedo into custody in his home in Athens.
There he is reported to have sexually abused the girl after he had previously met her in a bar. His lawyer Stavros Georgopoulos firmly denied the allegations against his client. Semedo denies the allegations: “We have solid evidence that it did not happen. And we will present that too.”
Rúben Semedo is not a blank slate
