Günter Netzer’s daughter Alana married her boyfriend, the Swiss singer Baschi. The proud father was of course there.
Happy event for Günter Netzer (76): The daughter of the former soccer star got married. Alana Netzer (31) said yes to her chosen one, the Swiss singer Sebastian Bürgin (34) in Zurich on Friday. The civil ceremony was befitting in the luxury hotel Baur au Lac.
Five years ago, Alana Netzer, who is professionally active in digital marketing, met the Swiss pop star Sebastian Bürgin, better known as Baschi, over dinner with friends. In July 2020, the singer asked for her hand while on vacation on the Côte d’Azur. He had previously received her parents’ blessing.
The civil wedding took place in a small group. In addition to close friends, Alana’s parents were of course there, Gladbach legend Günter Netzer and his wife Elvira (69).
Church wedding in Gstaad
The second part of the marriage is to be celebrated on September 11th of this year. The church wedding should take place on a larger scale in Gstaad: “Now we are looking forward to an unforgettable celebration in the mountains, with family and friends. Traditional and all in white.”
The celebrity village in the Bernese Oberland is a place steeped in history for the Netzer family. Günter and Elvira married here in 1987, and Alana was also baptized there.
Baschi Bürgin: This is Alana Netzer’s chosen one
Sebastian Bürgin is only known under the stage name Baschi in Switzerland. In 2003 he started his career in the first season of the casting show “MusicStar”. Although he was only 6th, he got a recording deal from Universal. In 2007, Bürgin was the star of the docu-soap “Baschi National”, which accompanied him professionally and privately.
In 2008 Baschi delivered the official Swiss song “Bring en Hei” for the European Football Championship held in his home country (and Austria). In 2010 he was represented with the song “Immortal”, sung in High German, on the soundtrack of Til Schweiger’s (57) “Zweiohrküken” and landed in the German charts. In 2020 he won the first season of the Swiss version of “Masked Singer” as a marmot.
