Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s relationship ignited one man in particular: Kardashian’s ex-partner Kanye West. His public rants against Davidson caused consequential damage to the comedian.
In recent months, Kanye West has become the symbol of the ex who just won’t accept that it’s over. He was so angry that his children’s mother, Kim Kardashian, was dating Pete Davidson that he regularly slammed the comedian on social media.
Pete Davidson in trauma therapy after Kanye West’s attacks
Among other things, he made fun of Davidson’s appearance and gave him the derogatory nickname “Skete”. In one of his videos, West had a cartoon version of Davidson kidnapped and buried.
And recently, after reports of an alleged split between Davidson and Kardashian, he posted again. On Instagram, West posted a fictitious New York Times cover titled “Skete Davidson Dead at 28,” but deleted it a few hours later.
The rapper’s ongoing attacks should not only have burdened his ex-partner Kardashian, but especially Davidson. “The attention and negativity that comes from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete]and he had to seek help,” a source told Page Six. The Saturday Night Live comedian is said to have sought professional help and entered trauma therapy.
Kim Kardashian is angry
Kardashian was also apparently angry. “Kim is angry and incredibly upset. Kanye has gone back to his old ways and Kim will not tolerate his bullying towards the people she loves and cares about,” a source said.
Davidson has been open about his mental health issues for years now. Born in New York, he not only suffers from Crohn’s disease, an inflammatory bowel disease, but also from depression.
It is not uncommon for the 28-year-old to process what is probably the most traumatic event of his life on stage. His father, a New York firefighter, died in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
