The milestone indicates that Predator: The Prey exceeded the total viewing time of the debut of the kardashianswhich became the biggest television series premiere of Hulu in April. The second season of the reality show premieres on September 22 on the streaming service.

What is Predator: Prey about?

Predator: The Prey tells the story of a young warrior named Naru (Amber Mid Thunder) on the Comanche Nation more than 300 years ago. When the iconic alien lands on Earth for a hunting spree, with his high-tech weapons and the ability to be invisible, she and her tribe fight back. The action flick currently has a 92 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

According to a press release, the filmmakers of the film “were committed to creating a film that provides an accurate representation of the Comanches and brings a level of authenticity that rings true to their indigenous people.” The film features a native Comanche producer, Jhane Myers, in addition to a cast “consisting almost entirely of Native and First Nations talent.”

Midthunder said to The Hollywood Reporter on bringing indigenous representation to a major Hollywood franchise: “Very rarely do you get good representation — good to be accurate, respectful, or something to be proud of.”

He added, “This is the first time you’ve seen an indigenous action heroine at the center of a movie. That in itself is a really incredible statement.”
