With secretly recorded videos of their sons, Kevin Federline recently wanted to prove that Britney Spears was not a good mother. His attempt backfired.
It’s perfidious strategies that Kevin Federline uses to put himself in a good position. After an interview in which Britney Spears’ ex-husband revealed that their sons don’t want to see her, Spears reacted defensively and gave her perspective on things. She also said her children were “hateful” when they visited her.

Reason enough for Federline to publish secretly recorded videos of the musician. In the clips, filmed by sons Sean and Jayden a few years ago, Spears can be seen putting her boys in their place. She threatens to take his mobile phone away from one of the two as punishment.
The fan reactions to the recordings are relatively unequivocal: you see a mother who is a little upset trying to raise her sons and demanding respect from them in her own house. Actually not particularly disturbing. Even at a time when she was strictly under her guardianship and, according to her own statements, was forced to take medication that was not good for her, it was apparently important to the musician to maintain a mother-child relationship. That is admirable.
He exploits the children
What is disturbing, however, is that Spears’ ex-husband uses his own children to put the 40-year-old in a bad light. It is difficult to imagine a greater betrayal. Not to mention the possible trauma that the two teenagers could endure if they ever realize it. But that’s not all: it seems Federline was just waiting for Britney to defend himself against his interview statements and then for him to be able to publish the clips that were supposed to be used to her detriment.
Federline’s latest revelations prove once again that we’ve only scratched the surface in trying to navigate the past 14 years of Spears’ life. What she must have experienced in the years under her father’s control is hard to imagine. Only Britney Spears herself could eventually use her enormous mouthpiece to shed light and tell her own story.
Almost no one is on their side
As of now, however, it’s obvious: Team Spears is small, very small. The musician cannot count on her family, not even – it seems – on her sons. Her ex-husband doesn’t play on her side either, and neither do her parents.
The tragic thing is that for years she earned the living for all the people who publicly drag her through the mud. That’s still true of Federline today, with the unemployed dancer reportedly earning $20,000 a month in child support. How is she thanked? With a knife in the back.
