Actually, the process was supposed to start in May. A new date has now been set. The former tennis star went to court because of a TV report about him.
The civil lawsuit by ex-tennis star Boris Becker against TV comedian Oliver Pocher will now be heard in court on November 15th. Neither Pocher (44) nor Becker (54), who is in a British prison for delaying bankruptcy, have to appear in court, as the regional court in Offenburg (Baden-Württemberg) announced on Thursday. After delays, the court had already promised a hearing in the fall, but had not yet given a date.
The point in this case is that Becker wants to ensure that what he sees as a misleading television report from the RTL program “Pocher – dangerously honest” can no longer be shown about him.
Most recently, the start of the process was canceled on July 26 due to the illness of one of the participants in the process. As early as mid-May, a first date for an oral hearing had burst because one of the participants was ill (Az.: 2 O 20/21).
