Boris Becker against Oliver Pocher: court date now planned for November

Boris Becker is taking Oliver Pocher to court. The date for the hearing has now been set for mid-November.

At the end of the year, a civil lawsuit by Boris Becker (54) against comedian Oliver Pocher (44) is being negotiated. The district court in Offenburg announced on August 11 that the court date was set for November 15. “We demand a cessation from Pocher. It’s about the unauthorized sending of film material. Boris Becker was ridiculed,” said Samy Hammad, the tennis legend’s lawyer.

Negotiation has been postponed

What is meant is a contribution from the TV show “Pocher – dangerously honest!” from the year 2020. Dr. Patricia Cronemeyer, the comedian’s lawyer, also told the daily in June that they have “complete confidence” that the lawsuit will be dismissed. The joking TV report in question does not violate Mr. Becker’s rights in any way […].”

The oral hearing was actually supposed to take place weeks ago, but was postponed several times due to the illness of a person involved in the process. The two parties were therefore not personally invited to the new date.

Becker is currently in a UK prison. The former tennis star was sentenced to two and a half years in prison by a London court in April for delaying bankruptcy.
