Orlando Bloom, as a UNICEF ambassador, draws attention to the suffering of Ukrainian children. He is now being honored for his commitment.
Orlando Bloom (45) is given a special honor. The actor will receive a humanitarian award from the Location Managers Guild International group. On August 27th, the LMGI Awards will take place for the ninth time. The organization announces that Bloom will personally accept the award at the upcoming event.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star has been praised by club chairman John Rakich for his charity work with UNICEF and other organisations. Most recently, in his role as ambassador, Bloom drew attention to the suffering of Ukrainian children in the ongoing war.
Martin Scorsese is also honored
The LMGI Awards will be presented this year by comedy star Melissa Peterman (51) in Los Angeles. In addition to Bloom, director Martin Scorsese (79) is also honored. He receives the Eva Monley Award. Production manager John Panzarella (“Midnight Run”) is honored for his life’s work.
