The cabaret artist Priol is considered a “razor-sharp chronicler” – and has now received a special award from the Bonn cabaret theater Pantheon.
The cabaret artist Urban Priol receives the Prix Pantheon Special Prize in the “Mature & Crazy” category. The 61-year-old is “a razor-sharp chronicler who doesn’t mince his words, who is merciless and pointed, always humorously revealing grievances,” said the jury on Friday.
The award is endowed with 4000 euros. Since 1995, the Bonn cabaret theater Pantheon, in cooperation with the WDR, has been awarding the German satire prize Prix Pantheon, which is endowed with a total of 10,000 euros, in several categories. Previous winners have included Helge Schneider, Gerhard Polt, Dieter Hildebrandt, Harry Rowohlt and Gerburg Jahnke.
