People: Liechtenstein: Don’t let plants bully you

The Berlin artist and actor Friedrich Liechtenstein has a good tip for all hobby gardeners.

Friedrich Liechtenstein (66) has developed a love for plants. “I have taken gardening to heart,” said the artist of the German Press Agency.

“But you shouldn’t allow yourself to be tyrannized either,” said Liechtenstein. He has the impression that he sometimes lets himself be bullied by the plants. “That they yell at me and say: ‘Water me!'” So you need demarcation skills? “Yes, sometimes you have to be strict with the plants.”

Liechtenstein has been making art for decades, comes from the East. Eight years ago he appeared in a supermarket’s “Supergeil” commercial, the video was clicked millions of times. Now his new album “Good Gastein” will be released next Friday (19 August). In philosophical terms, Liechtenstein has also dealt with algae.
