In the chapter now published, the authors, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, have taken up the developments that have occurred since the book was first published. The 25 new pages also describe the events surrounding Harry’s trips to England: In April he attended the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip. Harry and Meghan receive criticism
As expected, the newly added afterword met with negative to hostile reactions in many British media. The chapter is generally interpreted as a step against the royal family. So far, the day has been dedicated to the memory of Princess Diana – but not this year, criticized aristocracy expert Richard Kay in the English daily newspaper “Daily Mail”. He doesn’t find any nice words about Harry and Meghan in his slipping: “You have an extraordinary perception of your victim role,” says Kay.
The newspaper “The Sun” even warns that Harry and Meghan could drive further attacks on the royal family in the future. The nobility expert Angela Levin expects Harry’s announced memoir that he could list any offense in them.
As terrible as it sounds at first, that would be good news for the Yellow Press. So the gossip newspapers would still have enough material to write about the renegade Royal.
