Actor and musician Daniel Donskoy accompanies Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on his state visit to Israel.
Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (65) has invited actor and musician Daniel Donskoy (31) to accompany him on his state visit to Israel. “I am really honored and have accepted the invitation,” said the Moscow-born scion of a Ukrainian-Russian and Jewish family.
“It’s a great honor for me, because Israel and Germany are both my homeland and the pluralistic future of both countries is very important to me. I’m looking forward to exciting meetings and discussions,” he comments on the six-minute, multilingual video clip in which he shares “a few thoughts” on the complex topic before briefly going “on the political stage”.
As a fake priest, he became a star
Shortly after Daniel Donskoy’s birth, his parents moved from Moscow to Berlin. From 2002 he lived in Tel Aviv, Israel, and at the age of 18 he moved back to Berlin. He became known as the title character of the series “Sankt Maik” (RTL). Since 2019, Donskoy has been a forensic doctor Nick Schmitz in the Göttingen “Tatort” team led by commissioners Charlotte Lindholm (Maria Furtwängler, 54) and Anais Schmitz (Florence Kasumba, 44).
can be seen that the “State Visit to Israel” will take place from June 30th to July 2nd.
