Queen’s daughter Princess Anne has received congratulations from the royal family on her 72nd birthday. On the Buckingham Palace Twitter account, which also broadcasts official announcements from Queen Elizabeth II (96), a photo of the Princess Royal – her official title – was seen with a purple summer hat. In addition, the wish that she may have a “very happy birthday”.
Congratulations also came from Prince William and Duchess Kate (both 40). A birthday cake emoji was also featured on their Twitter account.
Anne is the Queen’s second eldest child. But she is a grandmother herself. Her two children Zara Tindall (41) and Peter Phillips (44) come from her first marriage to former equestrian athlete Mark Phillips. However, Anne has now been married to naval officer Timothy Laurence for 26 years.
