Currently and according to the site Cinemanía with information from The Hollywood Reporter, Depp has been involved in the gestation of Modigliani, a biopic of the Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani that he would be in charge of producing and directing. Indeed, the interpreter will also produce Modigliani, in what seems to be a project that he has been pursuing for some time, and in what would mean a fourth collaboration with Depp after sponsoring The Merchant of Venice in 2004, the documentary Wilde Salome in 2011 and the derivative feature film , Salome, 2013. Depp has never been a stranger to production during his career, and in fact he was one of the creators of the recent documentary Crock of Gold: Drinking with Shane McGowan, dedicated to the figure of the Pogues’ lead singer.
