Nobility: Prince Harry should sign himself in Düsseldorf’s Golden Book

Exactly one year before the “Invictus Games”, which Harry created, the Prince and Duchess Meghan visit Düsseldorf. He should sign the city’s golden book.

Royal splendor in Düsseldorf City Hall: British Prince Harry (37) is supposed to sign the state capital’s Golden Book during his visit on September 6th. The German Press Agency found out. Next on the program for Harry is a boat trip across the Rhine to the Düsseldorf stadium.

The “Invictus Games”, initiated by Harry, will take place in the “Merkur Spiel-Arena” next year (September 9th to 16th). Exactly one year earlier, the prince came to Dusseldorf with Duchess Meghan (41) for a day to meet organizers and athletes and their families. The visit was made public on Monday.

“We are very pleased to present the host city and the Invictus Games Park in the Merkus Spiel-Arena to the patron of the Invictus Games Foundation for next year’s games,” said Mayor Stephan Keller (CDU) according to the announcement.

Sports competition is a heart project

The Invictus Games, a sports competition for soldiers and veterans injured in action, is considered a project close to Prince Harry’s heart. They first took place in 2014. With Düsseldorf, a venue in Germany is planned for the first time.

According to the British media, Harry and Meghan are expected in Manchester the day before their visit to Düsseldorf at the “One Young World Summit”. Harry is scheduled to speak at the WellChild Awards in London on September 8th. It is not yet known whether the two spend the night in Düsseldorf.
