The festival is sold out and the so-called “Early Camping” has already started. As in the years before the corona virus, the Frequency Festival in St. Pölten will take place in full and the first artists will be performing on Wednesday, with a total of more than 150,000 visitors expected by Saturday. Performers include Austrian music group Bilderbuch and singers Jason Derulo and Lewis Capaldi. You can see which stars will appear in our picture gallery.

For some, however, the event also presents a major challenge. “At a major event like this, there can be delays and traffic jams, but we don’t expect traffic chaos,” said Harald Feichtinger, group leader of the ÖAMTC breakdown service, in a broadcast. “Fortunately, the arrival traffic is spread over several days, many use public transport,” says Feichtinger. He appealed to the festival visitors to observe driving and parking bans and to keep the access roads to the rescue and supply routes free, because towing would be rigorous. Apart from that, it is recommended to travel by public transport or to form carpools.
