Kid Cudi: The rapper talks about his stroke

In an interview, Kid Cudi spoke about his health problems. In 2016 he had a stroke in a withdrawal clinic.

Shock diagnosis at Kid Cudi (38): The US rapper revealed in an interview that he had a stroke in 2016 while he was in a withdrawal clinic. Accordingly, he was instructed because of his depression and drug addiction. After two weeks he was moved to a hospital because his ability to speak and movement had been impaired. “Everything was broken,” recalled Cudi.

The withdrawal took months. The first milestone followed in 2017 when he spoke for the Broadway piece “Lobby Hero” with Michael Cera (34). For Cudi it was the breakthrough: “I proven myself that I could do it. I needed that at the time.” He was happy that his “brain is still strong” and that he had lost nothing.

Kid Cudi is with himself

Mental health now also plays a major role in many of his songs: “I am ready to wear these shoes and be a role model.” He has grown up now and learned to love himself. “And I couldn’t have said that six years ago. Now I can say that with confidence and really believe in it, and you can see that.”
