Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) is a Chicago financial advisor with a seemingly normal life at work and with his family. Married to Wendy (laura linney) and with two children, Charlotte (sophia hublitz) and Jonah (Skylar Gaertner), they all have a peaceful and ordinary routine. But under that appearance, Marty’s life hides a great secret: he is in charge of laundering the money of one of the most important drug cartels in Mexico. Everything seems to be going well until an unexpected incident occurs and Marty decides to take his family from Chicago to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.
