She’s entertaining at a high level. Says actress Sabine Postel, who feels really comfortable in the ARD series “Die Knazlei”.
TV star Sabine Postel cannot imagine saying goodbye to the popular ARD crime series “Die Kanzlei” at the moment.
“It’s unbelievable how long it’s been going on – I’m scared myself. That means that people like you – and also the character you play. And want to grow older with you. That’s a nice satisfaction and a reward for the actor,” said the 68-year-old of the German Press Agency about the programs, which were called “The Thick” until the death of the legendary first leading actor Dieter Pfaff (1947-2013). The series cosmos has existed since 2005. The new season begins on Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. on the first.
Postel’s explanation for the success: “I think this is entertainment at a very high level – great colleagues and scripts that are up to date. Nothing snobby, fussy or kitschy. Elaborately staged and filled with a lot of humanity. You recognize yourself – and still feels good when you go to bed at night.” And for her own work there is a difference to the Bremen “crime scene”, with which she voluntarily stopped in 2019. “I did the “crime scene” for 22 years – a third of my life. And at some point it’s okay,” the actress recalled. The shooting, which took place in alternating sequence, was especially exhausting.
For years she hadn’t been able to go on a real vacation. You don’t regret the “crime scene” exit. “I’m not sad – it was a good period of life,” says Postel, who plays the Hamburg lawyer Isa von Brede alongside Herbert Knaup.
