“How to write a thesis”, was born under the premise of experiencing the Bolivian-Trans worldview, which materializes between a particular geography and a profane ritual mode: a lysergic dream cluster or, again, a ritual of spaces, forms and the excess. This work operates and finds its formal meaning through the creation of caricatures. From the encounter or confrontation of these aesthetics, a synthesis is produced that undermines the stages of the work. The jungle will eat the student living room, the Bolivian will engulf the city, little by little the feminine will take over masculinity.
In the director’s words “The murder of the Madonna de Sorata is a real case of transvesticide that occurred in Bolivia a few years ago, the victim was 21 years old. A strange craft that configures its poetics on procedures that deform academic language and produces parodic vignettes to “tell” the structure of a thesis. Forcing unexpected encounters; indigenous voices and some contemporary winks, I try to configure a fictional territory that offers theatricality using the “Investigation or thesis” as the engine of the action and the plot.”

Synopsis:
In an apartment in La Plata, Nahuel and Sofía collaborate with Gabriela in the writing of her thesis on the murder of Bolivian sexual minorities, until the object of the thesis is present in the study living room. Conopoima is a hologrammed Indian cacique who grants scholarships for his residence academic accommodation project in the Bolivian yunga. The encounter with the other that we carry inside will operate on each member of the team encrypting a new order of things; because a thesis is an adventure and because someone will always be inside someone.
