Prince Harry writes his biography – and leaves royals in the dark about the content

The royals are nervous about the release of Prince Harry’s planned biography. Apparently, he leaves his family completely in the dark about the content.

The expectations are huge: The New York publisher Penguin Random House is paying the equivalent of around 20 million euros for Prince Harry’s services. He should present a book in which he tells relentlessly about his life – and doesn’t skimp on spicy details from the royal family.

No wonder the British royals are not without tension as the release approaches. It was not clear for a long time whether the biography would be published this year as originally planned. Because the work of Prince Charles’ youngest son is missing from the list of books planned for this year.

Prince Harry: Explosive revelations?

But that means nothing. British media are already speculating that Penguin is keeping the work under lock and key because of its explosive content. In fact, the publisher recently reconfirmed that the book would be available in stores in time for Thanksgiving and the holiday season.

The fact that such a state secret is made about the content probably does not mean anything good for the royals. Because apparently the royal family should not be informed in advance. As the “Daily Mail” reports, citing the palace environment, neither the two heirs to the throne, Prince Charles and Prince William, nor their lawyers and advisors should be given the opportunity to look at the manuscript in advance. The royals don’t even know the exact date of publication.

As the “Telegraph” reports, Prince Charles is said to have already asked for a copy to be sent to him in advance. Probably unsuccessful. The Prince of Wales has a legitimate interest in being informed about the content. After all, his youngest son writes in the book about many things that also affect Charles, such as the end of his marriage.

The palace fears a one-sided presentation of the events. You would like to counter this with your own point of view. But it looks like Charles will hear about the book at the same time as the rest of the world: the day it’s published. Not a whit earlier.
