“What madness, thank you very much. I am more than anything grateful because this is a delirium. Thanks for the recognition. Thanks to my friends and my family, to my producer, with whom we have made this album hand in hand”said the rapper.
He also added: “One of the most beautiful things that music gave me is being able to do this with people I love a lot, it’s crazy to be receiving this in a crowded place when the album was born in a rarer moment of the pandemic, with uncertainty”.
“The music, at that time, was the light, let’s trust what we do, let’s trust the music, let’s not get distracted by colored mirrors. Hold on to what is happening with Argentine music”, Wos completed at the end of his speech.
The training for the awards took place at the Movistar Arena in the City of Buenos Aires and the event was broadcast on the Star+ platform.
Among the live shows that took place were Tini -together with María Becerra they won song of the year with Miénteme-, Abel Pintos, Airbag, Cazzu, Rusherking, David Lebón, La Konga, Nahuel Pennisi, Alejandro Lerner, Gustavo Santaolalla, Angela Torres, Zoe Gotusso, Ahyre, Julieta Laso and Miau Trio.
Wos swept the awards by winning Album of the Year for Dark Ecstasy -he also took gold-; Best Alternative Rock Album for Dark Ecstasy; Best Rock Song for Get Well; and Best Urban Music Collaboration for Cambiando la piel with Nicki Nicole.
Meanwhile, for Dark Ecstasy they also won the Recording Engineering (Javier Fracchia, Facundo Yalve and Nicolás Cotton) and Producer of the Year (Facundo Yolve) shortlists.
