First doubles together in years

The sisters’ last major came in 2018 at the French Open. The upcoming US Open will be the first event since 2014 that the sisters will court together in doubles. In 1999 and 2009, the tennis legends won the US Open tournament in doubles.

In early August, Serena Williams announced her retirement
