Harron continued: “I am not tolerating anything they have done wrong. I think no matter how talented someone is, if they’ve done something wrong, they have to face it. I also think that clearly this is not just a performance by a young star. This is much more serious. This looks like something that needs serious intervention, which I hope has happened.”
Miller was recently charged in Vermont with felony burglary after state police investigated an incident involving the theft of multiple bottles of alcohol from a residence while the owners were not present. The actor made headlines in 2020 after footage surfaced of them appearing to be choking a woman outside a bar in Iceland. No charges were filed.
The actor was also arrested twice in Hawaii this year, once for disorderly conduct and harassment. In the Hawaii incidents, Miller pleaded no contest to a single disorderly conduct charge and paid a $500 fine and $30 in court costs. The harassment charge was dismissed.

So it was very upsetting and terrible to read what happened next. Reading this was very sad, very sad for everyone involved. Hopefully they’re getting help for what looks like a very, very serious breakup.”
Miller apologized for his actions earlier this month in a statement to the site. Variety, writing: “Having recently been through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering from complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” says Miller. “I want to apologize to everyone I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the work necessary to return to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
When the Toronto Film Festival first announced “Daliland” as his closing night pick, he left Miller out of the press release. Miller’s exclusion caused many to wonder if he was being cut from the film, but that is not the case.
