The fourth edition of the Film and Music Stage Festival is held

Under the artistic direction of Iván Wolovik and the team made up of Juan Pablo Cinelli, Javier Diz and Marcelo Vázquez, this edition brings world premieres, including fiction films, documentaries, tributes, and historical rescues, in order to include the most recent of the audiovisual music scene.

“Nothing Compares”, an Irish documentary about the singer Sinead O’Connor, which includes her participation and reviews her life as an artist and social activist, is one of the films that will be part of the program and has not yet had its premiere in Argentina .

As well as “Narciso em Ferias”, a Brazilian documentary about Caetano Veloso, in which the artist recounts in first person his experience as a political prisoner in 1968.

“´Stage Festival – Beyond Music´ is an initiative that unites in a single space the enormous number of films about music that are produced annually, both in Argentina and in the world, thus demonstrating the variety of approaches and the quality that the musical genre has reached in recent years”, expressed the mentors of the festival through a press release.

“In addition, one of the main objectives of Escenario is the restoration and enhancement of historical, forgotten, out-of-print or lost audiovisual materials, to return them in the form of finds. This is how we discovered the figure of Alcira Luengas and her documentary work with Almendra, and the only live recording of Manal. This year we deepen that mission and go for more”, they abounded.

After debuting in person in 2019, the Stage Festival had a second online edition in 2020, in 2021 it was possible to return to face-to-face, and this year it proposes a mixed, federal and free format.
