The Minister of Tourism of Formosa, Silvia Segovia, told the press that the festival is “part of the culture of Formosans, extolling our Paraguay River in its natural beauty, and it is up to us, Formosans, to show the beauty of where we come from through these events that mobilize economically, and that make our sense of belonging and pride grow”.

The mayor of the city of Formosa, Jorge Jofré, told Télam, “what is generated with this festival is not only to position the city as a destination, but we also seek to boost the economy through entrepreneurs, SMEs and companies that show Argentina and neighboring countries how beautiful Formosa is”.

The undersecretary of Sports, Culture and Tourism of the capital city, Rodrigo Portocarrero, announced that the artistic grid of the first night will open “hand in hand with the Municipal Band; some dance companies, both local and guests who come, will also be displaying their talent. from the Republic of Paraguay.

“We are going to have a young space that will be decorated with a particular dynamism that includes a DJ party, with Matías Acevedo and Malich; cumbia will also have its space from the hand of the group ‘Eh Guacho’, from Buenos Aires and closing the day on Friday will be a group from Formosa called Vallenato Code”, he added.

For Saturday, he pointed out, “we are going to have ‘A Toda Costa Folklore, Parte I’, with a grid of local, regional, national and international artists.”

“Among them,” he continued, “we will have the presence of folklore academies such as Raíz Provinciana, Grito Argentino, Reminiscencia, a folkloric group of native peoples called Rencuentro Quom, Marisol Otazo, Romina Barrionuevo, Linaje, the group Quorum, Festivaleros , and closing the night, Lucio ‘el Indio’ Rojas”.

Portocarrero commented that on Sunday “we are going to be presenting ‘A Toda Costa Folklore, Parte II’, with folklore academies such as Identidad, Montaraces and Nandí.”

Also performing on stage will be “Diego Naser, Grupo Beltrío, Sigue Huellas, Tania Torres, Yanina Godoy, Los Románticos, Hermanos Ramoa -who come from Ingeniero Juárez- and Monte Adentro, and Lázaro Caballero will close the night and the festival.” added the official.
