Nelida Haydee Trenti, that was her real name, was trained as an announcer at ISER and began working in the media at the age of 17, when she had not yet graduated. She took her first steps on Channel 7 and there, in 1990, she was summoned by Daniel Tinayre to put your voice on Having lunch with Mirtha Legrand and forged a historic duo with “Chiquita”.

However, when in 2021 the host returned to TV after spending more than 300 days in quarantine, to take care of her health in the midst of a pandemic, Nelly was not part of her return, despite the fact that the diva asked her to accompany her.

“We have been friends for more than three decades. I watched the program, of course, because friendship is lifelong. It’s true, I wasn’t there, but neither she left me nor I left her, it was simply a particular circumstance, and on the other hand, the pandemic changed everything, even our way of being,” Trenti said in dialogue with El Run Run del show, minimizing his absence.

And he ruled out that it was a monetary problem: “Things were happening like this and I consider that the program that Juana hosts is another program, it is not the same one that Chiquita did, perhaps the one now is aimed at a younger audience. If Mirtha returns, I will be there, I am not replacing anyone.”
