In the parish church of Ansfelden (Bruckner’s birthplace, 6 p.m.), the Casal Quartet (Felix Froschhammer, Rachel Späth, Markus Fleck, Sebastian Braun) will play Bruckner’s String Quintet in F major and Heinrich Kaminski’s String Quintet in F sharp minor with Swiss solo violist Dominik Fischer. Signature wanted
In the course of preparing for the jubilee year 2024 for Bruckner’s 200th birthday, the state of Upper Austria is holding a competition for the composition of a “sound logo” (funding: 3000 euros). They are looking for a signature “that refers equally to the traditional ‘classic’ genre and also offers a modern sound design”. Submissions are possible until November 6, 2022.
