Gastro Japo Food Week – The week

This fourth consecutive edition will go from September 7 to 14 where more than 50 restaurants, gastronomic enterprises, pastry shops and deliveries from AMBA, Chascomús, Ciudad de Córdoba, Rosario and Viedma, belonging to the Civil Association that brings them together, come together again to share the traditions and ingredients of the Japan, combined with the best of local raw materials in order to further highlight the flavors of Asian cuisine. All the proposals in the networks @clubgastrojapo.

The objective is to make the diversity of proposals that Japanese cuisine brings to the local public more widely known, but it is also to support and strengthen the values ​​of camaraderie among colleagues, encourage gastronomic entrepreneurs and spread Japanese culture. Thus, the Japanese Gastro Club -which brings together more than 60 small family establishments in the field, throughout the country- once again bets on the organization of this “great culinary festival”.

“It all started just four years ago in a WhatsApp group between chefs, seeing how we helped each other in the midst of a crisis. That today, that little group has become Gastro Japo Food Week, one of the most anticipated gastronomic events of the year, is a pampering to the soul”, affirms the sushiwoman Alexandra Kanoat the head of the organization. “All achievements are the product of hard teamwork. The Gastro Japo Club has a mission: to spread Japanese culture from what we know how to do best, which is cooking. Respect, values, passion and love are our engine to continue growing”, he concludes.

Street food – The soul of the Japanese Matsuri -festival-

As a great novelty of this edition and at the request of the public, this year it had a special date. On September 4, all visitors to the Japanese Garden in Buenos Aires were able to go through the 10 yatai -street stalls- that were set up especially for the occasion, emulating the traditional matsuri -Japanese festivals- where food is one of the main protagonists. .
