Horacio “Marciano” Cantero, the leader of Los Enanitos Verdes, died

Since last August 29, he remained hospitalized in serious condition at the Cuyo Clinic, where in the last few hours he underwent a complex surgical intervention to remove a kidney and part of the vessel, they confirmed from his surroundings.

The group, formed in 1979 in that province by Cantero, Staiti and drummer Daniel Piccolo (who left the project in 2009), is responsible for highly popular songs such as “La pared verde”, “Te vi en un tren”, “Por el resto” and “Lamento boliviano”.

Close friends of the artist pointed out to the Télam agency that Cantero had had kidney problems for a long time and that he even used special lower-weight basses.
