Studio A24 will distribute the project in the US, with Vision Distribution handling distribution in Italy, where it will later become a Sky exclusive. Stage 6 Films/Sony Pictures International Releasing will distribute in the rest of the world.
“Priscilla” marks the third collaboration between Coppola and A24, after “On the Rocks” Y “The Bling Ring”. The study and the daughter of Francis Ford Coppola are also developing a series adaptation of “The Custom of the Country” of Edith Wharton.
For the project, Coppola will also re-team with his longtime collaborators, including director of photography. Philippe LeSourdthe costume designer Stacey Battatthe editor Sarah Flack and production designer Tamara Deverell.
In addition to writing and directing the film, Coppola is also producing the project alongside Youree Henley, The Apartment’s Lorenzo Mieli, the Fremantle Company and American Zoetrope. The production is financed by The Apartment and Sony’s Stage 6 Films.
