Sexual Abuse: Closing arguments in R. Kelly trial have begun

Shortly after being sentenced to 30 years in prison, the former pop star was again accused of serious crimes in a Chicago trial. He faces another long prison sentence.

Closing arguments have begun in the trial of former pop star R. Kelly. The prosecutor accused the 55-year-old at the trial in Chicago of having had sex with minors and having made child pornography, as US media reported unanimously. Kelly committed terrible crimes and tried to cover them up by intimidating his victims, among other things.

A few weeks after being sentenced to 30 years in prison for molesting a child, Kelly faces 13 counts in Chicago, including multiple counts of manufacturing child pornography, inducing a juvenile to engage in sexual activity and obstructing justice. Two of his former employees have also been charged. Kelly faces another decade-long prison sentence. The closing arguments are to be continued on Tuesday.
