Two actors, a bet and a serious background.
Ryan Reynolds bet Rob McElhenney that his colleague wouldn’t be able to learn Welsh.
The result: he lost the bet because the American actor shows his newly learned language skills in a published video.
Ryan bet I couldn’t learn Welsh.
He was so sure he said he’d publish his colonoscopy if I didn’t make it.
The mission: Ryan Reynolds has to publish his colonoscopy.
And since betting debts are known to be honor debts, the actor takes viewers along for his investigation.

And Rob McElhenney is also shown in the hospital getting a colonoscopy.

But why all this?
The action has a serious background.
Together with the organization “Lead from behind”, the two actors want to draw attention to the risk of developing colon cancer.
In the video, the two explain the disease:
The best way to prevent colon cancer is to have a colonoscopy from the age of 45.
In Germany, the statutory colorectal cancer screening takes effect from the age of 50 – that means from then on, the examination is taken over by the health insurance companies.
On average, one in 24 Americans will get colon cancer.
In Germany, 60,000 people contracted the disease in 2018
– and this can be prevented.
With humor and heart, the actors want to draw attention to the serious topic – and they did quite well.
It’s not the first time Ryan Reynolds has been wowing his fans with released videos.
The Hollywood star repeatedly draws attention to certain topics with viral recordings.
