It was the same route as the funeral march for his Diana. The Queen’s funeral procession reminded Prince William of his mother’s death.
According to British media reports, Prince William (40) has expressed his feelings during the funeral march for his grandmother Elizabeth II. Accordingly, he felt reminded of the funeral for his mother Diana, who died in an accident in 1997. The British heir to the throne was on Wednesday, like his father Charles III. (73) and his brother Harry (38) walked behind the coffin as it was ceremonially transferred from Buckingham Palace to Parliament in London.
According to the Telegraph, William said to a woman that the funeral procession was difficult for him and reminded him of his mother’s funeral. At the time, as a 15-year-old, William had walked the same route in the funeral procession – as his brother Harry, who was only 12 at the time.
The conversation is said to have taken place in Sandringham. William and his wife Kate (40) welcomed people there on Thursday who laid flowers and condolence cards at the Queen’s country residence in the eastern English county of Norfolk.
