King consort Camilla reveals she has learned a great deal about duty from her mother-in-law the Queen over the past several decades. Despite a broken toe, Camilla attends numerous events during the time of mourning.
Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, just a week before the king’s wife Camilla is said to have broken her toe, according to the British news portal “The Daily Telegraph”. Nevertheless, she pulls through the royal program with pain, and that too in high heels.
Anyone who may have had doubts about the reign of King Charles III. and his king wife Camilla, is now taught better. Because king’s wife Camilla seems to have a similar ambition as the late queen. Not only did she not give up her love for Prince Charles for decades, until they met and married after Princess Diana’s death, now she, as the new king, is probably going through all the appointments with pain.
Just last Thursday, September 15, a week after the Queen’s passing, the new royal couple took some time off at their home in Highgrove, near Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Already today they are back in office and with dignity. According to “The Daily Telegraph”, the 75-year-old is said to have “rather severe pain”. A source continued: “It’s unfortunate timing to say the least, but she’s absolutely professional.”
The royal family has not released any information about Camilla’s health
The PA news agency contacted the king’s spokesman to inquire about his wife’s condition, according to The Daily Mail. It is said to have said: “We will not comment on medical conditions.”
Today, Friday, the royal couple travel to Wales – the king’s first visit since he ascended the throne. The King and Camilla will attend a service at Llandaff Cathedral before receiving condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the Welsh Parliament, the Senedd. There is also to be a private audience with Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford and the Chairman at Cardiff Castle.
In honor of King Charles III. there will also be a reception hosted by the Welsh Government. Later this evening, the King and Queen will return to Buckingham Palace to receive faith leaders in the Bow Room.
