Johnny Depp: Does the actor have a new girlfriend?

Does Johnny Depp (59) have a new woman by his side? Rumors are currently circulating that the actor is said to be dating a lawyer who was on his legal team that represented him in his UK defamation case in 2020.

Depp sued a tabloid in England, but the lawsuit was dismissed at the time. The Hollywood star then conducted a defamation lawsuit in Virginia against his ex-wife Amber Heard (36). His alleged new girlfriend is said not to have been present at this trial, but she was seen in the courtroom, writes “People”.

Not the first rumors about a lawyer…

There had previously been speculation about Johnny Depp and another lawyer. Camille Vasquez (38) clearly denied rumors of a love affair with the actor in June. She called the speculation “sexist”. Vasquez was best known for Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard in Virginia. In an interview with People, she said she was disappointed that people felt her dealings with Depp were in any way “inappropriate or unprofessional.”

“I care deeply about my clients and we’ve obviously become friends. But when I say we, I mean the whole team, and of course that includes Johnny,” Vasquez told People. She added that the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star has been a friend and client for four and a half years.

Apparently she is very angry about the love rumors: “It’s also an unethical accusation. It’s sexist.” It was “regrettable and disappointing”, but at the same time it was foreseeable, the lawyer continued: “I can’t say that I was very surprised.”

The jury found Amber Heard guilty of defamation in the June trial. The fine was $15 million, but due to Virginia law, Heard is only fined $10.35 million. Depp was also fined $2 million. The jury found that a former lawyer for Depp slandered the actress. The verdict was appealed.
