As of that year, in September the first edition of the “Immigrant Festival” takes place, during which different activities are carried out such as artistic festivals, traditionalist centers, floats and communities from neighboring towns.

Soda and Siphon Museum

It is owned by the neighbor Fernando Taube and it is installed in avenue 60 and 128. It was founded on April 26, 2003. In total there are 10 thousand objects and you can see more than 4000 different siphons from all over Argentina and other countries.

It is a museum of private characteristics whose purpose is to show the public siphons, machines and other pieces related to the history of the development of the Soda industry, in which said pieces were acquired by their owner over the last 30 years.

Coast Cooperative

It is a production that, throughout the year, receives visitors during the weekends to the vineyard where they are explained how the wine is made and the tasting of the drink and the products of the sweet and salty preserves.

Its commercialization soon reached restaurants and neighborhood shops, the inns on New York Street, Ensenada and La Plata.

It constitutes a historical site of intense urban memory, testimony and symbol of events that marked the history of the city of Berisso and the region: immigration, the refrigerators and the port.

The area is a small residential enclave in the port sector made up of just twelve orthogonal blocks, forming a wedge between the River, the Port and the city.

“From here came the largest column that went to look for General Perón in the plaza on October 17, 1945, which is part of Argentine history. The workers of the refrigerators went out to look for him so that they do not kill him”, said the mayor, Fabián Cagliardi, referring to the history of the street and the history of Peronism.

At the same time, the communal chief explained that thanks to the support of the Ministry of Public Works they received help “with a project to renovate the street so that it continues to be cobblestone, and to put the communities. So much so that we gave him a house, a bar that opens every weekend with different meals and everything has to do with our history, ”he remarked.

The Hippodrome

Berisso has more than 25 communities that celebrate the Immigrant Festival every year and a horse race is held in this context. The party lasts until October 9, when the final parade takes place.
