After more than 40 years at the foot of the canyon, sooner or later it had to come to an end. And sadly that day has come james earl jones has announced his retirement from acting and will no longer provide the voice of Darth Vader in future productions of starwars.
As announced by the specialized portal Vanity Fairthe Oscar winner has given up his voice rights as Darth Vader.
James Earl Jones, one of the most iconic voices in cinema
1977 was the year James Earl Jones voiced Darth Vader in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and since then it has become one of the most iconic voices in the history of cinema.
Not only that, but he was also known for voicing Mufasa in The Lion Kingthe legendary animated film Disney where the actor was crowned with another iconic character.
His last appearance as a dubbing actor was recently in Obi-Wan Kenobiwhere he lent his imposing voice to Darth Vader from Hayden Christensen. There his voice was enhanced from an AI created by a Ukrainian company called Respeecher. So surely in this way Jones’ voice will continue to sound every time Darth Vader has to speak.
