For 17 years, Friederike Kempter played in the Münster «Tatort». Now she is looking for new professional challenges.
The actress Friederike Kempter (41, “Tatort”, “Oh Boy”) has kept a cherished memory from childhood.
“My mother ordered us to keep vacation diaries, I am very happy about that today and very grateful to her in retrospect,” Kempter told the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung”. She used to make radio plays with her sister: “I still have some of them on cassette.”
Kempter grew up in Freudental in Baden-Württemberg. «It was a very good place to be a child. It was also a good time to be a child – apart from Chernobyl, when we were suddenly no longer allowed outside. ”
From the first grade onwards, she went the one and a half kilometers to school alone with her classmates, there in the morning and back at noon. “That wasn’t a problem at all. There weren’t any cell phones yet, and I found it to be a very free time, ”remembers Kempter, who is expecting her second child herself.
Kempter described the fact that she gave up her role in the Münster “crime scene” after 17 years as the right, albeit painful, decision. “It was always nice work, but not exactly one that really challenged me in the end. Professionally, I often had more exciting projects. And where should that have led? That at some point in my late forties I’ll be the oldest assistant commissioner in the world? ” You just saw no more potential for development.
Kempter is currently in the first in the documentary series “Friederike knocks!” to see.
