Actors from cult series or films have two options in Hollywood. They crash, or they have taken care of themselves as audience favourites. The latter applies to Marina Sirtis. She is better known as Counselor Deanna Troi from the hit TV series The Next Generation. Sirtis stayed true to the Star Trek universe after the series ended. Whether in the Star Trek movies or in the subsequent series – Deanna Troi was an integral part of science fiction films. But Marina Sirtis is also in demand beyond Star Trek: In the successful TV series “Navy CIS” she had a recurring role as a Mossad agent. Sirtis put everything on one card for her Hollywood career in 1986. She went to Los Angeles. Shortly before her visa expired, she was accepted: she had the role of psychological ship consultant Deanna Troi in the science fiction series. She is currently making a few guest appearances on Star Trek: Picard on Amazon Prime.
