On the other hand, “A house without curtains”, by Julián Troksberg, and “Esquirlas”, by Natalia Garayalde, shared the Silver Cóndor for Best Documentary Feature, and the highly praised “Karnawal”, by Juan Pablo Félix, which came from sweeping the Sur Awards, was recognized as the Best Debut Film, and also won for the supporting performances of the Chilean Alfredo Castro (which he shared with the aforementioned Portaluppi) and Mónica Lairana, in addition to the category of Costume Design.

During the ceremony, which took place at the CC25 de Mayo, three new awards were also presented for the first time: the Leonardo Favio award, which went to Adolfo Aristarain (“Martín H”, “Last days of the victim), 12-time winner of the Silver Condor; the María Luisa Bemberg award to the producer Vanessa Ragone (who in her extensive career produced “El secreto de sus ojos”, among many others), and the Salvador Sammaritano award, to the critic, teacher and researcher Fernando Martín Peña (former director of the Mar del Plata Festival).
In addition, BA Audiovisual presented the Audience Award for Best Fiction Film in Competition, which on this occasion went to “Implosión”, by Javier van de Couter.
The ACCA also distinguished as Best Film in co-production with Argentina the Spanish “Akelarre”, by the Argentine Pablo Agüero, with a local production by Campo Cine, while the Best Ibero-American Film was “El agent topo”, by the Chilean Maite Alberdi.
