Jeff Bezos presents himself on Twitter as a fair sportsman and congratulates his rival Elon Musk on his successful mission into space.
The billionaires’ space race is in full swing. After the amateur astronauts Richard Branson (71) and Jeff Bezos (57), Elon Musk (50) set another milestone on Wednesday night (September 15). He only sent tourists into space with his SpaceX program. There is praise from the competition for this contribution to the commercialization of space flights. : “Congratulations to Elon Musk and the SpaceX team on the successful launch of Inspiration4 last night. Another step towards making space accessible to everyone.”
Ambitious entrepreneurs are usually not that harmonious. Bezos recently sued NASA for having signed a contract with its competitor Musk. : “It turns out: Bezos retired to file full-time lawsuits against SpaceX.”
Three battle for space
The first to open the race on July 11th of this year was the Briton Richard Branson. He traveled into space with a rocket from his company Virgin Galactic, and shortly afterwards Bezos did the same with his counterpart called Blue Origin. Only Musk has not yet used his own space company to orbit the earth as a tourist.
