Alice and Ellen Kessler celebrate their 70th stage anniversary. On this occasion want to do good. They part with some of their stage costumes and donate the proceeds.

The Kessler twins are auctioning off stage outfits from seven decades. The online auction is scheduled to start on Wednesday next week, as the Gärtnerplatztheater announced on Thursday in Munich. The proceeds are to go to those affected by the flood disaster in the Ahr valley.

More than 50 stage outfits from five decades are to be auctioned off by the Neumeister auction house, the oldest of which date back to the 1950s. According to the announcement, they mostly consist of chiffon and silk, are richly embroidered with sequins and pearls and were elaborately made by hand in Italy and France.

The 85-year-old twins Alice and Ellen Kessler are celebrating their 70th stage anniversary and have shared the stage with legends such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. The online auction is scheduled to last until October 30th.
