Blink 182 front man Mark Hoppus, 49, has finished another chemotherapy session. The musician, who had cancer, also announced that he would soon undergo a test to find out whether the therapy had worked.
Mark Hoppus: “grateful” about the end of chemotherapy
The 49-year-old wrote on Twitter: “Today I’m grateful that I don’t have to go to chemotherapy. It has been three weeks since my last treatment. Normally, I would go in today. ‘Normally.” Damn it. Getting pumped full of poison every three weeks is normal for me. ” Hoppus added, “On the 29th I’ll be scanned and I’ll know if it worked.”
Cancer known since the end of June
On June 24th, Hoppus made his cancer public. “I have been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer for three months. I have cancer,” he wrote on social media at the time. “It’s terrible and I’m scared, and at the same time, I’ve been blessed with incredible doctors, family and friends to get me through this.” For the rest of his therapy he wants to remain “hopeful and positive”.
